This jumping saddle features Heritage Leather, which upholds traditional practices in natural oil and wax tannage. It highlights a desirable rich patina characteristic of only the finest natural leathers. The high oil and wax content of this performance leather enhances your grip with optimal suppleness and a fully natural surface. 

This saddle also features a forward flap with soft, supportive padded knee roll that is both more forward and slightly longer than the standard flap, perfect for long-legged riders. You’ll appreciate the adjustable Flexibloc System, which at lets you alter the placement of leg supports, and ergonomic stirrup bars, which reduce bulk under your thighs.

The world-leading EASY-CHANGE® Fit Solution, which incorporates the EASY-CHANGE® Gullet System and the EASY-CHANGE® Riser System, offers an unparalleled scope of adjustment. You can change the tree width to fit your horse’s current shape and muscling and make minor adjustments within the saddle panels for optimal balance and clearance.

CAIR® Cushion panels help maximize your horse’s comfort and freedom of movement. Lined with extremely soft neoprene, the CAIR System uses air cushion technology to distribute weight and absorb shock, thereby making for a more comfortable ride for you and your horse. As your weight bears down on the saddle, air in the panels moves fluidly to hug your horse and distribute your weight evenly. Leather is a natural product and its life relies on maintaining a certain level of moisture. By following the steps below your saddle will perform for many years.

Prior to being ridden your new saddle should be liberally dressed with Bates® Leather Balsam. The balsam offers a surface barrier and protects against wear, water and sweat. Allow it to soak overnight for maximum absorption and protective sealing.

Regular cleaning of the saddle with glycerine saddle soap and a damp cloth or sponge will remove dirt, which can scratch the surface. Follow the cleaning with an application of Bates Leather Balsam or Bates Leather Cream to all areas of the saddle that are not suede. Apply a heavier application to high wear areas.

Keeping your Bates® saddle clean will help it achieve the traditional, rich patina of aged, worked leather and your saddle will bring you excellent years of service.
